What This Is For

Canadian employers who need to hire a foreign worker often require a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) through Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC), unless the role is LMIA-exempt.

What we need from employers (LMIA intake)

Company legal name, CRA business number, and authorized contact
Job title, NOC 2021 code, wage, hours, and Toronto / Ontario work location
Recruitment efforts (Job Bank, dates, Canadians/PRs who applied)
LMIA stream (high-wage, low-wage, PR-supporting, etc.)
Signed IMM 0267 or IMM 0268 when available
Foreign worker details if already identified
